Ervanda Bimantara
Co-Founder & Design Planning Director
Ervanda Bimantara was born in Pekalongan in 2000 and graduated with a degree in Architecture from Yogyakarta University of Technology in 2023.
Early Career: From Intern to Independent Consultant
He began his career as an intern at PT Interlude Indonesia (2022), a design and build consultancy firm, where he served as a Site Manager. During his time there, he oversaw the construction of luxury classic style residential projects. While still in university and continuing to this day, Ervanda has actively taken on freelance work, handling drafting, cost estimation (RAB), design, and construction, which led him to establish his own architectural consultancy studio "Sakapitu Arsitek". His portfolio includes office designs, warehouses, residential homes, and interior projects located in Pekalongan and other cities across Central Java.
Joining Tarakota: Shaping a Design Identity
In 2023, Ervanda joined PT Tata Ruang Kota (Tarakota) as a full-time Design Architect, where he has contributed to projects such as warehouse designs in Bekasi, residential homes, interior spaces, offices, cafes, and restaurants. At Tarakota, he played a key role in developing the studio’s signature design identity Symmetria and Terracotta which has become a defining characteristic of the firm.
Parallel Experience in the Construction Industry
During the same period (2023–2024), he also worked as a drafter for Suwarna Yaksa Abadi, a construction company, contributing to projects such as Mayapada Hospital and factories in Cikupa and Karawang.
Design Philosophy: Art that Inspires
Guided by his philosophy "Architecture is art, art is value, value is motivation", Ervanda believes design must inspire both creators and communities. As Tarakota's Design Planning Director, he transforms this ethos into spaces that balance beauty, symmetry, and purpose, proving that ambition and artistry can redefine built environments. This means life should be driven by the ambition to bring color and meaning to other people’s lives.
